ABOUT THE WEBINAR

Technology is critical to medical practices and cybersecurity is frequently not managed as well as it could be.   Your hosted medical systems and EHR are likely secure but what about your internal infrastructure and risks?  According to HIPAA Journal, healthcare hacking incidents have almost tripled in the last two years!  Several studies by security organizations show that on average, breaches are not detected for months.

Without the correct cybersecurity foundation and leadership, you could be putting your patients and practice at significant risk.  Attend this session to learn where the risks are along with ways to manage and mitigate the risk.

At Colorado Computer Support, we have worked over 20 years in Health Information Technology and provide support to multiple Critical Access Hospitals and practices throughout Colorado.  We work closely with them to provide security in layers to protect their data.

This session will cover multiple areas:

-Cybersecurity:  Most places we see can execute a few simple steps to dramatically reduce their risk of a data breach.

-What Risks?

-What are some easy red flags to watch for?

-What are the basic technologies needed to protect yourself?

-Business Associate Risks

-Protecting Your Practice

-When all goes wrong, how do you recover?
