ACTIVE MEMBERS: Louisiana residents primarily responsible for medical practice management. Settings include physician office practices and medical group practices. Active members can vote, hold office and serve on committees. Annual dues are $100. ALLIED MEMBERS: Louisiana residents are employed by a hospital, healthcare organization or hospital system, practice management firm, MSO or other business entity, and perform significant managerial or administrative tasks for one or more practices on a full or part-time basis. They may also be individuals who work for other practices or clinics providing health services by non-physician providers, such as physical therapy , home health, ancillary services, etc. Allied members may be faculty members or representatives of non-group practice organizations otherwise involved in healthcare through professional societies and emerging health care systems. Allied members may vote, be a committee chair, serve on committees and serve as a Board member of LMGMA. Allied members cannot hold an office. Annual dues are $100 AFFILIATE MEMBERS: Individuals who support medical practice administrations either as a banker, attorney, CPA, vendor, sponsor, position with another health care trade organization, or other arrangement acceptable to the Board of Directors may apply for membership. Affiliate members do not vote or hold office but may serve on committees. Affiliate members may reside within or outside Louisiana. Annual dues are $225. STUDENT MEMBERS: Membership is FREE for appropriate students: Individuals enrolled full-time in a health service administration curriculum within or outside Louisiana may apply for membership. Student members may not vote or hold office but may serve on committees. To qualify for this membership, students must be enrolled full-time in a minimum of 12 hours per semester at the time of application.
